Not to be confused with the Westside, West Los Angeles is a distinct neighborhood with a unique identity and central location. Running North and South through the heart of the neighborhood, Sawtelle Boulevard is known as a hot spot for foodies. The neighborhood encompasses Sawtelle Japantown, providing a stunning assortment of Japanese eateries.  We recommend that you try ramen at popular Tsujita LA. Or, try some highly rated soup dumplings at ROC. When you’re finished with dinner, head over to Honeymee for dessert. Their Instagram-worthy ice cream is infused with pure honeycomb.

There is no shortage of entertainment in West LA. The community is home to some excellent karaoke bars, such as Karaoke Bleu and Max Karaoke Studio. If you’re not much of a singer, there are a few sports bars serving delicious bar food. So, if you’re in the mood for some good sports and finger food, consider checking out the Nickel Mine or the Déjà Brew Taproom & Kitchen for your fix in West LA. Nearby, lies a huge selection of local museums, entertainment venues, tourist attractions, and more. There is always something to do when you’re out and about in West LA.

West LA is home to a variety of shopping destinations, from small boutiques to well-known retailers. The area is home to the Japanese discount store, Daiso, a 100-yen retail chain that has recently ignited a social media firestorm. If you love vintage media, take a visit to Record Surplus, a store on Santa Monica Boulevard that sells used books and vinyl records. Shopaholics who live in West LA can also enjoy living near the best shopping destinations in the Greater Los Angeles area. There’s the glamorous Rodeo Drive in nearby Beverly Hills. Century City lies a short drive down Santa Monica Boulevard. There, you’ll find the impeccable Westfield Century City mall. The shopping center is home to many luxury stores, such as Nordstrom's and Bloomingdale’s.
